QTP Certifiaction : HP - M16 Details

Today, I just came across a post on QTP Certification details on Testing forum QualityTesting.info.

One of the members is asking for the details of the QTP Certification. I am thinking of writing my own experiences on this what I observed from my mentors and team mates across globe discussing "Do We really need Certification in Software Testing"

before writing my own words, Let me first provide the details of the QTP Certification.

QTP Certification Details:

Exam Code : HP0-M16
Exam Name : HP QuickTest Professional Software 9.2
Exam Fees : US $60

Total Questions : 58
Passing Criteria : 70 %

Exam Place : Any pro metric center

Exam Preparation :
- Just go through the user guide.pdf that ships along with the trail license of the QTP software

-You should read google groups discussions,yahoo groups and Linkedin Discussions on QTP problems then only you will enhance your skill set in QTP.

- Practice any approved web application with trail version ( P.S. Do not use Automation tools on google.com as it is a license violation and you may be victim of that)

- You should know the all basic functionality of QTP and how it works

Note : You have to create HP Student ID before registration. Because at the time of registration it asks for HP Student ID. Here is the link of the site to create HP Student No.
